This is what it looked like the first time it broke.
 Originally I just used epoxy to fix it as seen here.
 But that didn't last long so this time I used a small metal bracket secured with two screws at the bottom of the break to help brace it along with more epoxy. As seen here,
 and here.
 The bracket is actually one of the metal harness stays used to hold the PTU harness to the timing covers. I had it laying around and it looked like it would work so I just went with it. Also, as i mentioned in the original post Bernie had given me a piece of closed cell foam that is about 3/8 - 1/2 inch thick. I placed this between the headlight housing and the metal mounting bracket as extra support.
